In all things

"As you listen to the birds calling to the one another, hear also My Love-call to you. I speak to you continually: through sights, sounds, thoughts, impressions, scripture. There is no limit to the variety of the ways I can communicate with you. Your part is to be attentive to my My message, in whatever form they come. When you set out to find Me in a day, you discover that the world is vibrantly alive with My presence. You can find Me not only in beauty and bird calls, but also in tragedy and faces filled with grief. I can take the deepest sorrow and weave it into a pattern for good." Sarah Young

This spoke to me so much today.  Today Le'i and I where just walking around town and it felt like I was seeing my city for the first time. I was looking for the good in this little city.  Also seeing just how much transformation has happened and is continuing to happen.  Le'i and I where talking about what we think will change when we leave and what colors buildings will be.  I love his imagination.  The greatest thing I realized and know already is just how much He just wants us to enjoy Him, how He wants us to find Him in all things.  Like the picture above, its not the best image but I took it because I love how little Le'i looked standing next to this tree.  His love for us is so much more then we can ever imagine.  When I seek for Him with my whole heart, I find Him in all things. Even when its ruff and I don't understand.  He is there.  What a pleasure it is to know He is with me.

John 10:27

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Be encouraged friends if you feel like you haven't felt God in a while He is still with you.  Take the time to seek Him.  He wants to show you His love.

One part of me is saying: I can't believe I'm leaving Hawaii to move to Sweden. Going from always having "summer days" to what seems like no summer days. Going from warm water to surf in with waves that are so big and powerful that some days I can't even paddle out to water that is freezing and waves that are......that are...Where are the waves!!! Going from fishing that is absolute world class to catching bait fish.

But you know what. I wouldn't trade it for the world. To me there is nothing more exciting then walking in obedience to what God has called us to do. There are a lot of great things that I get absolutely stoked on but when it comes down to it I find most satisfaction in being able to serve Jesus and serve others. Although I am always looking for a good adventure I have found that my greatest ones have been while serving Him.
So, Sweden, it is with full excitement I come to tackle your sucky summers and dirty, slushy winters. Your beyond cold so called waves and tiny fish. I consider it an honor for us to come and serve in such a great place!
Du gamla du fria.

Our first goodbyes

ahhhhh Goodbyes are just plane horrible. I am the type that would just like to avoid them at all cost. I just want to slip away and pretend we don't have to say goodbye. I know it is kind of lame. So we said goodbye to my dad! So ruff! He is taking the team to Bali this year with a couple of other good friends. Good stuff. How do you say bye to family. Its so hard to express the love/sadness/happeness/joy etc in that brief moment. Byfar the hardest was having my dad saying bye to Le'i. They have a special little relationship. Building forts in his bedroom, random trips to Walmart, and little gifts from garage sale shopping. I am so blessed that Le'i knows my parents and has such a connection with them. Honored that I still have parents alive to know him and love on him as much as we do. My parents are such a gifts. I am so grateful that my parents have always wanted us in the center of the Lords will. Even when they wish we would stay near them forever. They have pushed me to be better, work hard, play hard but most of all they have shown me what it means to walk with the Savior with passion and surrender. I am so amazed by their lives and what they have done and suffered. I do not know how they do it. They work harder then anybody I know. Mom and Dad thank you for loving us girls with all your hearts. For loving us, for correcting us, for sharing wisdom, most importantly telling us daily we were made for greatness and nothing is impossible. To always look for the good in people and to love the unloveable. I love you and I will miss you so much! On a lighter note. Our friend made this welcoming us to Sweden. I hope all Swedish days look like this. A girl could wish right. :)
